Your private details stay private
Member Gallery collects the information needed to create and protect your account: your full name, username, email address, date of birth, and a password credential handled by our authentication provider.
What other members can see
Your username, profile picture, bio, posts, reactions, comments, and follower relationships, active stories, story highlights and verified status are visible inside the member community. Only upload photos, videos or sounds and write posts you are comfortable sharing with other verified members.
Why we collect your date of birth
We use it to manage membership eligibility and maintain accurate account records. Your full name, email address, and date of birth are not displayed on your profile, posts, comments, search results, or member feed.
How your account is protected
- Passwords are never visible to the site owner or other members.
- Your email must be verified and your application approved before the account can enter the gallery.
- Optional slideshow sounds are stored with the post and play only in Discover.
- Verification and password-reset links are secure and time-limited.
- Uploaded image metadata is removed before public display where supported.
- Videos are stored and displayed as uploaded, so remove sensitive personal or location details before posting.
- Private account details are returned only to your account and the protected administrator account.
- Stories expire after 24 hours unless you choose to keep one as a profile highlight.
- Browser notifications are optional and can be controlled by category in Settings.
Private messages
One-to-one message text and photo attachments are available only to the two members in that conversation. The administrator dashboard cannot open or search private message contents. Safety reports show who reported whom, the reason supplied by the reporter, and the date, without copying the reported message or attachment into the dashboard.
Moderation and account safety
The site administrator can view member account details for support and safety, approve applications, suspend access, and remove uploaded posts. Suspension blocks the member but keeps their existing posts and media visible. Passwords and authentication tokens are never available in the admin dashboard.
Your choices
You can replace your profile picture, update your bio, remove your own posts and comments, unfollow another member, change notification choices, or permanently delete your gallery account from Settings. Contact the organisation that shared this website with you for account or privacy support.
